Oh my God, I'm so excited I don't know what to do. I'm trying to calm myself. I'm trying to not get ahead of myself.
But, do you know what this means? People with Type 1 diabetes have lived over a year without needing any insulin. People, not mice. Do you hear me?
They are not calling it a cure.
But, I can't help dancing around the living room and grinning like a fool.

Sometimes I wish Brendon was a mouse.
It's probably because I've been doing this for almost 10 years, but I'm not that optimistic. They said the same thing with the Edmonton protocol and islet cell transplants.
It's definitely a good thing, don't get me wrong, and if this turns out to be the cure, you can print out these words and I'll happily eat them. But...I just can't let myself get too excited yet.
