Hi

Dear Reader,

I’m still around and still reading all of my usual blogs. I haven’t really had time to sit down and post lately. Nor have I had the desire, to be honest.

Things around here are pretty good. Riley spends most of his time playing Lego Starwars or playing basketball in the living room. His sugars have been doing good. I've found that I don't really think about diabetes much anymore.

Holden is still playing basketball. He’s doing well with that and his grades. He’s in the middle of midterms right now. He’ll be turning 16 in a few weeks.

I just wanted to write a little note to say “hi”. I’ve been thinking about this blog a lot lately. I’m wondering if maybe it’s served its purpose. I don’t know. We’ll see.

Take care.

Love,
Penny

Awesome Penny! Nice to hear sugars are tuned. And all else is well.
Talk to you soon. In a sense your blog has served its purpose ...with me anyhow. I hope to hear from you again.
You were a very special part of us when we started with this back in september. Thank you.

Even an occasional "all is AOK" is cool with me! I will continue to check in with you. I am glad things are going well!

Very glad to read that things are going well, Penny.

And hey, while you may not have had the desire to post lately, that could change in a moment.

It's happened to me.

Just post when you have the urge-- and I'll keep checking in...

Penny,
I am so glad that things are going so well. I am not going to be sad because I know you aren't leaving us. We are family now and our kids are not grown yet. They still have lots of milestones to reach and through them all I know we will all need each other. Maybe your blog has served a purpose but the story is not over. Big Hugs to you and your family and we will talk soon.
Love ya, Viv

I'm so glad to read that things are nice and settled especially concerning the diabetes.

You don't always have to write about diabetes. The blog can evolve into something else.

But I totally understand if you don't feel the need to write posts anymore. Just don't shut it down and leave us forever!!

I often wonder what happened to the people whose blogs haven't been updated in months or longer. I guess this answers my question. Good to know all is well. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

Thank you all for your comments.

Chris, I almost cried when I read yours. You are all special to me in one way or another.

Vivian, Yes, we are one big family. You guys are the family I never really wanted. No offense, but without diabetes, I would have never met you. But, if Riley has to have this stupid disease, I'm glad I have all of you to go through it with.

I'm sure I'm not leaving for good. Maybe I'm just taking a little hiatus.

And, like Sandra said, I may decide to post again on the spur of the moment.

OK, I feel a post coming on....

LOL. I've had moments where I felt like I could go for weeks without posting, and then the day I decide to take a hiatus, a whole flood of ideas would come and I'd post every single day.
