Just a quick plug

I will be hosting another Walk of Hope this year.

Walk of Hope 2007 will be held on October 6, 2007 (Riley's 2 year anniversary of having D)

All proceeds will go to
The Iacocca Foundation to help find a cure for Type 1 diabetes.

If you would like to donate to Walk of Hope, click

At the website page, click on "Donate". When you fill in your info. under "designation" type in "Walk of Hope 2007" and that will make sure that the donation goes to my walk.

I've also posted a link in my sidebar in case maybe you can't donate now, but maybe in the future.

Every little bit helps, $5, $10, $20, it doesn't matter. It all adds up.

And, if you chose to remain anonymous that's fine, but if you don't mind I'd like to know if you donate. I just want a chance to give you a personal thanks.

Good luck on your walk. I hope you have a great time.

I've got a ride happening in September that's going straight to Dr. Denise Faustman's team at Mass General. Her research is very interesting if you've not heard about it before.

It's great to see all of us who are affected by Type 1 going out and raising funds towards a cure. I'm hoping it'll happen in the next 10 years or so. That would be a dream come true!

All of the money from Walk of Hope last year went to the research that Diane Faustman is doing.

This year, however, it is going to the Iacocca Foundation to use however they see fit. Being that the Iacocca Foundation is the largest supporter of Diane Faustman's research, I'm sure plenty will go to that. But, The Iacocca Foundation also supports some other very promising research. So, I didn't want to limit it to just one project this year.

Good luck on your bike ride.
